Here's Owen this morning. He was so disappointed yesterday when it was only Matthew's first day. He's got a longer day this year (9-2) because we put him in the day care part of school also so that he gets more exposure to adults that will make him try harder to speak clearly. I sometimes don't realize how difficult he is to understand until I have to interpret for someone. Once the first few days are under our belt, the plan is that my friend, Leta, will pick him up on her way to get the others at school. He had his lunch packed (PBJ, fruit cup, chocolate milk, pudding) in his backpack and was ready to go at the same time I had to take Matthew in this morning. I just hope he doesn't get upset when most of the other kids leave at 11:30. I'm taking him to the hospital after school today for a pre-surgical tour. Why did I schedule that on the first day of school?

What a big boy! Did he enjoy the first day? I put Nick in an afterschool program 3 days/wk until 4pm. School ends at 220. It gives him an 1.5 hour to run around and let off some energy. Then, when Lexi gets home, I leave her w/the babies for about 20 min. so I can go pick him up. Works well for all of us!
