The boys were told to not wake up before 6:30am. That didn't work. I heard Matthew checking out the loot around 5:40. He went back up and woke up Owen, then they were both rustling packages around. I called out to find what time it was. 5:53. So they opened their stockings on our bed and played the new game they got from Nani yesterday. Nani, Auntie Ab, Grammy, Aunt Linda, & Uncle Gary made their way over for breakfast around 9. Matthew got a call from a friend around 10 to compare presents but since Matthew and Owen were still engrossed in the game and Liam was happy eating chocolate, no one rushed to open gifts. I could hear the boy on the other end screaming, "Are you crazy?!" It was kind of weird. So finally, under peer pressure, Matthew tore himself away from the Wii and decided it was time to open presents. Lots of trucks, remote controls, art, books, and games. We all went out for Chinese food for dinner. Then we came back and humiliated ourselves trying to play Dance Dance Revolution. Pretty much we suck at that, but luckily I can blame Grammy for passing down her missing rhythm gene because my mom and aunt were clearly not gifted in the dance department either. Steve did pretty good though. Probably all that experience with video games he has. Aunt Linda made a cream puff tree with whipped cream and chocolate syrup and cream puffs from Sam's Club. The kids are in bed with smiles on their faces and I am ready to dismantle the Christmas tree. (Sorry no pic of Liam, his turned out blurry or he wasn't looking at the camera.)
