Two nights ago we had a pretty severe thunderstorm. It knocked a good sized branch off a tree out back but then it became wedged into another group of trees, like a bridge above our heads. It took one day to get the branch to the ground and then tonight Steve chopped it up. We were all on hand to help Daddy. The rest of the tree will have to be chopped down I think, but we'll need help from a friend for that since our chain saw is pretty small (and electric-we need the big guns to level the tree-the trunk is probably close to 20 inches across.) Lucky it didn't land on our new shed or the kids' swings.
