I Can't Wait For Spring

So, Liam's croup, or whatever it was, is basically gone. This week he's just been sounding congested, but not really runny, and has an occasional cough, that sounds bad for like 5 seconds, then he's fine. Yesterday I tried some different things to get him to stay in his bed at naptime and I thought my little discussion with him worked wonders. Apparently I am not that magical and it was just Liam getting sick. He started complaining of his ear hurting while we were picking Matthew up from choir. By the time we got home he was crying. I took him in today and he has an ear infection. While the doctor was checking him out, she asked him to breathe deep and then, to further illustrate the technique, I gave an example. He turned to me and said, "I don't need to breathe, Mommy." OK then. So he's on some free antibiotic from Meijer and pain relieving ear drops which actually cause a good amount of pain when applying them. Fun times!!!
