Liam Is Turning 2!!!

I am in utter disbelief that the little tiny baby we brought home 2 years ago has grown into the hammy tornado he is today. For all the family that has been reading the other family blogs you already know this, but for all you other 2 people that read this, yes, I was sick on Saturday and CANCELLED Liam's birthday party. In a moment of intestinal distress, I flat out cancelled it. Never to be celebrated. That's how icky I felt. I have since fully recovered and reconsidered, somewhat. My mom and sister (if she's not working, Abs, this is your invite...) will come over for frozen hamburgers (thawed and cooked) and chocolate cake on Wednesday, Liam's real birthday.

Liam's only present so far has been the talking pony, courtesy of the "Arizona Sullivans," aka Grampy, Naala, Auntie Stacey, and Uncle Scott. It probably does a lot more than what the kids let it, since it turns into a yelling match, with Matthew trying to control everything and Liam turning the horse around and sliding it on the floor and Owen whining about wanting a turn. Maybe tomorrow (or Wednesday may be better since O and M would both be at school) Liam can have a turn at his own gift without having to share.

Here he is stealing Owen's genuine police issue ($1 store) sunglasses....er, borrowing.

Friday was Little Flowers again. Liam dug through Beni's backpack and found her uniform and decided to wear it. Again with the dress up.

And today. Leta called to see if we wanted to come over and play with two of her friends' kids. Ben is 3 and "Baby" Levi (not to be confused with the plain old regular Levi) is 16 months. Liam had fun. It was a good distraction since it seems sometimes easier to not give him a nap so he will go to sleep at a regular time at night. If he has a nap, like yesterday, he tends to be up, digging through the bookshelf, playing with the heating register, general mischief, until 10 or later. While trying to help Matthew with his homework before dinner, Liam and Owen were watching some Dora, all tucked in on the sofa. Tonight, even with the 10 minute nap he stole in the spaghetti, he was asleep by 8:15. Way better.
